I dedicate this message to all the girls out there, who, like me, are boycotting Valentine’s Day, but not by choice! Who are we kidding with our "It is soooo commercial", "Those couples kissing everywhere- it's disgusting. We aren't animals!"...While deep down, we are moping about our fate, questioning everything from our body and personalities to karma (that bitch). Breaking news people: we all are princesses waiting for Prince Charming...in the meantime we kiss all the frogs we meet… just in case!
This year one thing hasn't changed; I am still
single on that Holy day. I am, once again, pretending that I don't care BUT
will spend some of my precious time and energy to cherish myself! For once, I
am not going to buy myself a crazy gift. Instead, I am going to take a bath, listen
to some good tunes, read a book (more likely a gossip magazine) and some beauty
product. My goal is to combine useful and fun. I hope to find that miracle
product which will blur my green-ish complexion, erase the braille message formed
by my acne (at 24, why not!), and my dark
circles and other signs of exhaustion, all in cold water to fight my
cellulite!! I guess that this description helped you to understand the many
reason explaining my single status!
In fact, I
insist that I am single by choice (a man, what for? I know how to change a
light bulb. Yes I have been shocked several times but you know what, I totally
rock that afro). Usually, the
situation doesn't really bother me. Lately, I have even been questioning what
place would love haunt in my tight schedule, but deep inside my little heart
knows that I won't be less happy with that special someone by my side on a
regular basis. Someone to annoy when I am bored, take anywhere from
parties to exhibitions, to concerts but with whom I will also enjoy simply
loitering around and watch DVDs in bed. A man, possibly over 18 but also far
from retiring, handsome enough to make me want to show him off but not too much
so I won't have to lock him in my basement. I am not the jealous type, but I
know my limits! A social homebody, independently attached to my wee-self, who
does what I want but not without fighting first, someone who will make me tear
up...from laughing. A simple and smart guy, faithful and trustworthy, who can
cook and clean! If he also has loads of money and love to travel, I'll marry
him within a year! If you happen to know someone close enough to the above
description, forward him my email! Haha...But, seriously, agathe.boulous@gmail.com ;)
